For Janelle Chaplin, an innovative and contemporary approach is always a signature. Throughout her 20 years in the hairdressing industry, Janelle has clocked up a desirable CV. She has worked across the globe in Sydney, London and now New York as a sought after session stylist, shooting with some of fashions finest photographers and leading magazine titles including Elle US and Paper magazine.
After several years working in Creative Direction for a well-known global hair brand, Janelle took the leap for work with Original & Mineral, believing in the new generation message, a desire to bridge the gap between luxury and natural within the hair industry
Janelle is currently based here in New York, owner of O&M.nyc flagship salon, a base that allows her to lead hair at New York fashion week for O&M each season, execute editorial work in leading US publications as well as maintain the manes of passing through celebrities including Chelsea Leyland, Sadie Frost, Yael Stone and Tali Lennox.

Marie trained at Jingles in London and has been in the business for many years (or how she likes to describe it - “since before the wheel”)
After owning her own salon at the Chelsea hotel for over 11 years she decided that the Original & mineral philosophy aligned with her personal ethos.
Marie is extremely attentive at interpreting clients wants, sculptured short cuts and specialises in mens cutting - not to mention has recently been on tour all over Australia presenting mens fade classes.

William’s style is nothing short of unique. Drawn to hair for it’s social implications in culture, He gains inspiration from runway for everyday; navigating the medium of hair through an almost encyclopedic knowledge of looks decades past, he is focused on making his clients look and feel like their most authentic selves. The end result is him serving up signature and effortless looking colors and cuts to match for the masses, no matter the era or style evoked.
Hailing from Maryland, William Scott Blair has had a passion for fashion and art since a very young age. With a background in photography, he took his passion to the next level by shifting his artistic focus and deciding to be a hairstylist. At just 19, William got his start in Seattle training under the eclectic and visionary stylists at VAIN salon.
William has been working with O&M and its Creative Director Janelle Chaplin as a national educator and collaborator for the brand since its launch into the US.
William’s work as a hair stylist doesn’t stop at the salon. Since moving to NYC, He has done over 10 seasons of runway in London, Paris, Milan, and New York assisting visionary stylists, Jimmy Paul, Guido, Laurent Phillipon, and Anthony Turner on shows such as Alexander Mcqueen, Celine, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Opening Ceremony, and Marc Jacobs many times over. He has also styled print and video for Adidas, Schon, Vogue Mexico, Melanie Martinez, Neko Case, Kimbra, Brooke Shields, Hunger, Editorialist, Blanc, Ladygunn, and the Coveteur, to name a few.
ANGELO TORRES

Originally from Chicago, Angelo has 18 years of experience under his belt - once owning his own thriving salon (for 10 years) decided make the move to New York to begin the next chapter of his career.
Specialising in color, precision cutting and extensions; he is a man with an extensive knowledge, so much so he is the national educator for Original & Mineral.
NANCY CASIANO
An industry veteran of over 25 years, Nancy is a master stylist and certified balayage artist.
Nancy trained and worked under John Dellaria in Soho and created a strong clientele. She took a hiatus to raise her son, while still working part time in the fashion industry. In her own words, raising her son, Lucas, was the best accomplishment of her life. Once returning to full time salon life she joined Dop Dop Salon, where she learned and honed her skills as a hair painter. She continues to educate herself to keep up with industry trends. Her friend and colleague, Marie, led her to meeting Janelle and joining the team at O&M. She was immediately embraced and couldn't be happier for herself and her clients to be a part of a wonderful community housed in a stunning space.
She finds her inspiration in effortless, natural-looking hair, and strives to help clients love the way they look.

Stephanie is the newest member to the O&M.nyc team. She is hard working, dedicated to her training and is looking forward to getting to know all the clients. Keep an eye on her, as she is set to be the next generation of O&M stylist.
